You Are In Total Harmony With God
II Corinthians 5:18: “But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself (received us into His favour, brought us into HARMONY with Himself…”)

God had such an intense love for mankind that He sent His son to die for us and to satisfy that tremendous love. He did not want to see anyone left out of the inheritance that He has for us. John 3:16 says that He sent His son so that no-one would perish (or come to destruction), but have eternal (everlasting) life.

Paul tells us that God brought us into harmony with himself. Imagine an orchestra getting together to do a performance. When they arrive, everyone is busy tuning their individual instruments. It sounds like chaos and the sounds are all mixed up, not making a good sound at all. But then the director arrives and raps on the pedestal, drawing everyone’s attention. It gets quiet and then he starts directing the orchestra in time and tune with each other, bringing each instrument with its own individual sound into the music, blending them together so they make a unique and pleasant noise.

That’s what God has done. We were all trying to do our own thing; trying to be pleasing, trying to live on our own but making such a mess. But God, in His goodness, sent Jesus so that we would all become part of the same family. We are each individuals, but when we are blended together, we become a unit that is complete—The Body of Christ. Perfected and brought into harmony with God Himself.

In Colossians 3:14-15 Paul writes: “Above all …. Put on and ENFOLD yourself with LOVE (God’s love for you). It is the bond of perfection that binds everything together. Then you can let his peace (soul harmony) rule as umpire of your heart.

Knowing the love that God has towards you and believing that you are part of this awesome family of God, gives you SOUL harmony to live your life to the full. You can trust God to be good to you and to guide you.

In II Corinthians 5 Paul also goes on to say that because God has made us in harmony with Himself and brought peace between Himself and us, we should then make our peace with Him once and for all. We can only do this when we realise we already have peace and harmony with Him because of Jesus. Then there is NO reason to keep our distance and try and gain His acceptance.
